Joan Green is having a show of her recent work from November 2 through 30, 2018 in the Main Hall of the Newton Free Library, 330 Homer St, Newton, MA. OPENING RECEPTION: Thursday, November 8, 7 to 8:30pm. The show will include oil on canvas, collaged oil on paper and mixed media (watercolor, oil stick, charcoal and acrylic on Yupo). My work combines abstraction with figuration, real life with fantasy. My palette is greatly influenced by the several months I spend in Jamaica each year. As a dancer, rhythm and movement are central to my work.
