| For the past 26 years, I have done much of my painting on the island of Jamaica, on the South coast, in a small corner of St. Elizabeth called Pedro Plains.
My current paintings of Jamaica are in oils and are shown in the Oil Paintings section. After a five-month painting residency there in 2001 and 2002, I presented a solo show of my Jamaica paintings at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center in 2002. The people in these paintings are good friends of many years. Most of these were painted on the spot, but some were done later, inspired by sketches and memories. |
